The “Golden Morning” stretch cat is 14 feet high and weighs 17,000 pounds and welcomes you to Sculpterra. This magnificent entry sculpture is adorned with bronze whiskers and bronze claws.
This domestic stretch CAT was designed in 1997, built in clay, cast bronze and multiple sizes before a 30” model was shipped to a granite carving factory, to be done in this 16,000 lb. size. Jagger would never have taken this risk, had he not been sure of the quality of design. Though Jagger was trained in stone carving, this cat had to be jobbed out, to align with the Winery opening. As a final touch, Jagger welded the claws, bent and installed the whiskers, in bronze. This sculpture took 7 months to complete.
